Safina Wood Craving transforms locally available waste materials into aesthetic, quality, and durable products. Mismanagement of solid waste is one of the major contributors of carbon in the atmosphere coursing global warming and Safina initiative though by very modest percentage, is poised to reduce carbon emissions.
Collark Designers
Collark is a design company started by young people that creates promotional items such as signs, corporate shirts, uniforms, and caps. They have worked with corporate entities such as Qatar Airways, Toyota Kenya, and Kenya Scouts Association and CBOs and Saccos across local communities.
Kono Farm
Kono Farm rears edible snails for sale. Along with producing the snail meat, they harvest the slime and sell it to the cosmetic industry. As well, they grind the shell, which is rich in calcium, into powder and sell it to farmers for animal feed. They also train youths and women groups in sustainable agriculture.
Tekcen
Tekcen is a computer training center targeting high school graduates and youths aged 18-25years, our courses include basic computer packages, computer programming, Android app development, graphic designing and animation, so far we have trained more than thirty students, employed two. We are planning to launch an online learning platform for the student who can not attend physical classes.
